Leslie Rex Stockel is a Certified Safety Professional with over 25 years of experience in the Safety and Health Profession.  Leslie has worked in the manufacturing, petrochemical and insurance industries as well as aviation, utilities, and public service.  In the late 1990’s she served as OSHA Director for the State of Oklahoma Department of Labor.  Most recently, she was a Health and Safety Manager at OGE Energy Corp.

Leslie has earned MS degree in Engineering Technology Management, BS degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology, both from Oklahoma State University.  She is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, the OSU Fire Protection Society as well as the OSU Alumni Association.  She is a past-president and current executive committee member of the ASSE Oklahoma City Chapter.  She has taught as an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Oklahoma - Industrial Safety Program as well as OSU-OKC, and the Oklahoma Safety Council.

She has been recognized for her work by the Oklahoma Safety Council - 2000 Safety Achievement Award, The U.S. Department of Labor Assistant Secretary’s Team Impact Award; and by the National Journal of Government Publications – Notable Document Award.  In 2016 she was named Safety Professional of the Year for the ASSE Oklahoma City Chapter.  Additionally, for her term as President in 2014-15, the Oklahoma City chapter was named a Platinum level chapter by the national ASSE, the highest level of excellence in chapter achievement.
