Nanjing Tech University Delegation Visits OSU Fire Protection & Safety
(STILLWATER, Okla., October 26, 2016) - A delegation from College of Safety Science and Engineering at Nanjing Tech University, including their Dean and Assistant Dean, visited the Oklahoma State University Fire Protection and Safety program on October 21-25. Sam Wang, director of the program, welcomed the delegation. During their visit, the group met with Vivian Wang, Manager of Chinese Development at OSU International Students & Scholars to discuss MOU between two universities. The delegation also met with Ed Kirtley, Assistant Dean of College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, and Gouranga Banik, Division Head of Engineering Technology. Following a tour of the Fire Protection & Safety Laboratory, the delegation discussed opportunities for collaborations including funded research, visiting professor exchange and student exchange. An activity agreement will be signed when MOU is signed by OSU Provost and President of Nanjing Tech University. The group also visited Fire Protection Publication and Fire Service Training ground.
Nanjing Tech University specializes in engineering. The University has 26 colleges, and close to 30,000 students. Of the 2,800 employees with the University's faculty and staffs, there are more than 900 full professors and associate professors, including 6 members of the Chinese Academy of Science or the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
