Alumni Chief Jenkins elected IAFC second VP
Tom Jenkins holds a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma.
Chief Jenkins is a 2006 graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He is a credentialed Chief Fire Officer and Chief Medical Officer from the Commission on Professional Credentialing and was recognized as a Harry S. Truman Fellow in 2003. He serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for Oklahoma State University's Fire Protection and Safety Technology Program and is an adjunct professor for the Northwest Arkansas Community College.
